Titanium Bowdrop is a sweet and delicate curved barbell earring, adorned with a delicate bow decorated with cubic zirconia stones and a small, lightly moving dangling detail. The curved shape and balanced design make it particularly beautiful for helix or rook piercings, but it also works wonderfully in other cartilage piercings where a curved shaft fits well.
The material of the jewelry is implant-grade titanium (Ti-6AL-4V-ELI ASTM F136) – a safe, hypoallergenic, and completely nickel-free material suitable for those with sensitive skin and for healing piercings. The attachment mechanism is a push-in system, where the hollow post and a small protrusion on the decorative part are gently pressed together. The attachment is discreet and easy to use – no threads.
The gold-colored surface of the jewelry is achieved using the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) method, where the color is attached to the metal surface by evaporation. This method produces a highly durable coating that is resistant to wear and moisture, and will not chip or fade with use.
PVD coating is known for its durability and safety, and has been used in medical instruments since the 1980s. The surface withstands, for example, autoclave sterilization well and does not react with the skin – this makes it an excellent option for long-term use.
The stones are carefully set and remain securely in the jewelry.
